Charlottesville’s Michael Coleman has been a fresh, up-and-coming presence on the Virginia music scene opening for some of the area’s greatest performers; and, as such, is poised for a breakout year in 2016 and beyond. As a gifted singer/songwriter Coleman draws from his own upbringing and life experiences, emotions of love and loss, and draws from influences including Otis Redding, Van Morrison, Dave Matthews and Stevie Wonder.

Coleman’s skills as a jazz drummer translate themselves to the guitar to create a truly unique rhythmical sound. Coleman has a raw and passionate voice, as equally resonant performing solo or when combined with a backing band that includes some of Virginia’s most talented, heralded and long serving musicians—including, Rusty Speidel (SGGL) and Butch Taylor (Dave Matthews Band).
